September 2023 and 2024 I was honored to participate in Kargo Mobile’s annual art auction fundraiser. I contributed four pieces with the Bold Floral designs auctioned off as a set. What helped me choose these pieces was focussing on range of narrative. The Alien Food Market is packed with characters, interactions, and personal details from my life. The Potted Plant piece has some interactions happening but it is much more toned down in terms of how busy it is. It aims to be aesthetically balanced in terms of color and composition. The Bold Floral pieces are more decorative and capture a calm yet playful mood without any character or narrative. The floral set generally appeals to a wider audience and was a fairly safe bet for raising money for the cause. It felt amazing using my art for such an important mission. I hope to always find new ways to help make the world a better place with my art.
